My Thoughts, goals and more.. Happy New Year… 2019!

New year — a new chapter, new verse, or just the same old story? Ultimately we write it. The choice is ours. The new year stands before us, like a chapter in a book, waiting to be written. Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right!

“One resolution I have made and try always to keep is this: To rise above the little things.” -John Burroughs

First of all, let’s start with New year wishes to all.. I wish this year, you will touch the heights in your career. May the New Year bring happiness for you, and for those whose happiness depends on you. Happy New Year 2019 !!

Finally, one beautiful year comes to an End and now we are in a completely new year. .If you’re anything like I am, you have mixed feelings about New Year’s resolutions. Still, It’s hard to resist making New Year resolutions. Even if you have a history of finding them broken by mid-January. It’s a great time to recognize the accomplishments we’ve had in the past year and the successes we want to achieve in the next year!

Everyone is set with their new year resolution. Some of them make a resolution to improve themselves; some of them make the resolution to quit a bad habit, and some of them are busy making new year resolution for their business.

Set realistic goals:

Focus on what you really want – don’t just go with what’s trendy or what’s everyone is doing. Someone else’s idea for achieving health, wealth, success or any other goal is unlikely to work in exactly the same way for you. Having a small but consistent habit will give you more benefits than having big and ambitious goals.

Positive Thinking:

Taking time each day to recognize the good in your life is a great way to keep a positive and healthy mindset. This gives you an opportunity to pay attention to the beautiful things in your life and continuously motivate you to create even more positivity moving forward. See all the problems as a challenge for you to go to the next stage of your life. Sometimes a few positive words are all you need to keep your goals in motion.

Be responsible:

See all the problems as a challenge for you to go to the next stage of your life. If you can quit, quit. If you can’t quit, stop complaining – this is what you chose. If things go wrong, you have no one to blame than yourself. Always remember that it’s all our choice! Also, Its okay to make mistakes. We make mistakes, learn from that, and improve.

“Slow down and make building relationships as important as building projects”. – Greg Mortenson.

Be kind, lovable and patient:
Live, breathe, and learn; take a look around, whenever you have time. Take time for the people in your life, appreciate them, love them. They won’t always be there.. time flies by ..and all we are left with is memories.. People have a different problem and struggle that we didn’t know. Just be kind to everyone around.

2018 has been a great year for me in terms of learning new things and reaching to a new horizon. I would say that in 2018 I learned a lot of things that really helped me keep motivated and progressing in my personal and professional life. I have seen life from many perspectives and it changed me in a great way.. I learned a lot of new things in both good and bad ways, and, starting this blog has been the best thing to do. Connecting with other bloggers and sharing my work has been such a pleasure. And this is a good time to say thank you to all my followers, reader and visitors for all your support. So thank you! I am so very grateful for you and your encouragement.

As a Blogger, we should also have some serious commitment and new year resolution for our Blog. It could be anything from writing a blog post every day, replying to comment or doing more guest posts in this year.

I wanted to set very reasonable goals for 2019 for my blog.  I am going to push myself to make sure I stick to my goals. My goal for 2019 is to publish at least 1 blog post a week(I wish I could do more but honestly my mommy life overtakes it..). I started this blog with full on motivation and enthusiasm but blogging is not an easy thing. It takes your time, dedication and a creative mind to get going in this field. I really have to be consistent with my blog posts, no matter what but I have to do this! I love..love this space and I promise to bring in more exciting and good content for my blog posts.

Now that you’ve chosen a goal, find something that you can do every day to work towards it. Working on your resolutions every single day is very, very effective. If you do something every day, it becomes a habit. Soon you won’t even think about it; you’ll just do it naturally. There may be other people who have been successful at sticking to their resolutions from the beginning of the year to the end. but, then there are people like me! (Not at all proud of it.. )

Have you made any resolutions in the past and did they work for you? How has your year been and are you ready for a fresh start with a new year? Please feel free to share with me in the comments, your thoughts are always welcome. Thank you for reading and see you in my next post!

  1. I love how you style your gingham pants in that last photo! I have a pair just like them that I’ve been wanting to style in an edgy way too! Maybe I’ll do an outfit post about it! I think I’ll be keeping an eye out for a striped button up! That looks great! Thanks for the inspo and have a beautiful day!
